1° The Tantalus project comprises one exploration licence (permit PR 6698) made up of 768 contiguous
625 m by 625 m unit blocks that encompass a total area of 300 km2. The permit is currently granted as
a “Permis de Recherche” (research permit), or PR, which grants the exclusive right for prospecting
and research. The permit is valid until 2017 and can be renewed once more, for a period of three
year

The permit was originally held by Calibra Resources and Engineers Madagascar SARL in 2003 [Ravalomanana], and was subsequently acquired by Zebu Metals Limited in January 2008 [Ravalomanana]. Tantalus assumed 100% ownership of the permit in October 2009 [Rajoelina].

2° Tantalus Rare Earths AG is a Germany-based company that is primarily engaged in the discovery, selection and development of mineral deposits outside China. It is involved in the Tantalus SEE-Ta-Nb-Zr-Hf-U-Project on the Ampasindava peninsula in northern Madagascar. Besides the rare metals, which are associated with tantalum, niobium, zirconium, hafnium, uranium and tin, there is also evidence of GOLD, silver, zinc and lead ores OF UNKNOWN MAGNITUDE . Tantalus Rare Earths announced plans to SELL 60 percent of its OPERATIONS [through a Mauritius subsidiary] to SINGAPORE’S APPHIA MINERALS for a cash consideration of EU3.7 million. The company will withdraw its application for INSOLVENCY following a transfer of EU1.35 million has taken place.
As quoted in the press release :
A first EUR 350.000 tranche of the cash consideration was paid at the signing of the term sheet with Apphia in November 2015 and a second tranche of EUR 1.350.000 will be paid few days after the signing. The remaining EUR 2 million will be paid at the closing of the transaction, estimated to take place in the first quarter of 2016.
