concrete steps towards restablishing a constitutional democratic
government and the rule of law. These steps include the annoucement of

En d’autres termes et plus simplement, c’est le dernier avertissement car
l’échéance du 15 décembre est dans quelques heures. Si le pays
souhaite bénéficier du programme AGOA, il faut que les dirigeants
politiques honorent les points suivants :
– la composition finale et la publication des membres du
gouvernement de transition,
– la mise en place du Conseil national pour la Réconciliation ;
– la mise en marche d’un processus qui installera une Commission
électorale indépendante
– et la détermination d’un calendrier électoral ferme.
L’initiative du Département d’Etat apparaît comme des conditions
imposées par les Américains, comme une marche forcée pour reprendre
l’esprit d’un titre récent d’un journal de la place quand il
rapportait les propos échangés avec José Andrianoelison (José Kely).
Ce sont en effet les conditions sine qua non qu’il faut que le pays
remplisse pour pouvoir poursuivre le partenariat avec le commerce
américain.
Cet avertissement américain survient après que la branche locale du
Groupe international de contact ait exprimé ses vives et profondes
inquiétudes le 10 décembre à la suite d’une rencontre qui s’est
déroulée à l’ambassade de la République sud-africaine à Ankorondrano.
Lors de cette rencontre, les chancelleries étrangères ont réitéré
leurs appels aux dirigeants politiques à contribuer activement et de
bonne foi à la résolution des difficultés existantes, et à s’abstenir
de toutes rhétoriques ou intimidations provocatrices. La communauté
des ambassadeurs travaillant dans le pays déclare que tout acte
unilatéral, d’où qu’il vienne, ne ferait qu’isoler Madagascar
davantage.
En tout cas, cela fait maintenant au moins un an que le pays est entré
dans le tunnel de l’isolement et de la désagrégation pour revenir à
une dépendance économique qui ne dit pas son nom sans que le peuple ne
soit consulté et n’ait eu droit à la parole. Ce que l’observateur ne
comprend pas c’est cette réunion d’urgence de très haut niveau qui est
programmée pour le 17 décembre alors que les sanctions américaines
seront déjà entrées en vigueur. Ou bien l’appel de Roland Ratsiraka au
président Obama a-t-il suspendu ou retardé l’application des sanctions
?

As much as I have disgust toward big foreign companies for their practices “a.k.a. modern slavery by the name of cheap labor” , I would not want to see hundreds of thousands of people losing their job (or should I say their everyday’s meal) just because one, a single person would not respect his own word, signatures, and terms he agreed. I am trying to put myself in his position, but I cannot imagine how would that feel to be responsible of such …word is not enough to describe it.
– In my opinion, Andry Rajoelina refuses the fundamental idea that there are people who disagree with him, and that is the biggest problem.
Do you really think, or are you convinced that he is able to feel responsible ?
He is just able to recognize that stranger aliens are responsible for all that occur in Madagaskar. Like all citizens.

– The response to your question is : Yes, I do think that Rajoelina can be responsible in different things, ...may be at his home,taking care of family and business. I just cannot imagine how do you live with the feeling that some 100,000 people will be out of job because you disagree with « someone » over « some ideas ». May be he has done some cost and benefit analysis and think that losing AGOA is not such a bad thing. may be...
– But you brought up some new and important points so let’s have a discussion :
– Can you tell me exactly what did Ratsiraka, Ravalomanana, and Zafy did wrong ? with the factual evidences that you know, or experienced, not just opinions or rumors here and there.
– I think it’s time to clear up some claims repeated everywhere without any hard evidence to support them. I have said this before and I will continue to say it that we need an independent investigation of all the former leaders, not just Ratsiraka, Ravalomanana, Zafy, Rajoelina but those who where in power such as all the former primeminister, ministers,...
– In my opinion - and I can defend this claim - many of the accusations we hear are flat lies, not founded, or opinionated. Let’s play hard ball..
– Who hired and and brought the Antandroy in Tana during Aug 10 1991 ? Don’t tell me Ratsiraka, because he will never travel Tulear « in person » to talk to someone in the street and hire those people ...Who was the person in charge ? Who destroyed the 7 bridges in 2001 ? Don’t tell me Ratsiraka because he is not going to go there and put the dynamites under the bridge and blow them up. Who is in charge ? How much money was transferred to Toamasina in 2001 ? who authorized it ? under who’s order ? who first signed the tax relief for Tiko, and who are all the people keep signing it ? (until now) How much does Tiko owe to the government ? Is it legal or not to use the treasury foreign currency warranty to import food ? Who contributed to the purchases of the Air Force One II ? (I know there are 3 countries involved) and how much ? Where was the money used during this crisis from ? (I know some of my family got paid in high end job and wired transferred from the bank ? What is up with Barclay bank and the authorization signed by Pierrot Rajaonarivelo and his SG (who actually did not deny it) ? What is Tantely Andrianarivo’s Buisiness in Indonesia ? and where did he get the money to start it ?....many more questions that need to be addressed. Enlighten me, I need to know

– Aider l’équipe de « TRANSITION » à MADAGASCAR pour organiser dans le plus bref délai des éléctions pour rétablir l’ordre constitutionnel.
Halte à toutes les « INSTITUTIONS FANTOMES » pour satisfaire telle ou telle mouvance.MADAGASCAR n’a pas d’argent pour faire fonctionner toutes ces institutions inventées de toutes pièces.

All theses manipulations by Rajoelina is agreed in advance by all his partners. Among these, France is the principal ally that has an important role since the beginning of this crisis. Nobody can’t refute that France acted and still acts strangely during this 2009 crisis. By obsreving the departure of the AGOA, the French Government or at least theirs cronies in Madagascar can’t wait the application of this decision as they will be the only master around when the big guy left. Of course, AGOA is a vital and fondamental to MAdagascar and by closing its doors, unfortunately, it’ll open some to the suspicious french parteneship which, in reality, will bring desapointment and disaster as usual. France or Rajoelina are the same entities and you can’t separate one another. Though 11 months have been given to Rajoelina, nothing is done and the country still lives in desperate. All we have is anarchy, false democracy tending to dictatorship. The economy is down the hill and nothing is planned to secure the population. The only way to keep AGOA alive is to follow all the instructions mentionned, not to send a letter to the American President without following the normal procedure. The American people love the Malagasy and I’ll be quite sure that they want to help us but not with this kind of false democracy and also not with this unstable and illegal authority. Therefore, claim our rights to avoid loosing our jobs and force this authority to go out if they don’t want a consensual government to run this transition. No need for more meeting if the result is going to be the same. Let the other parties be back in their own country and let’s put together everything on track. We spend already enough time for nothing,
Clarifions les choses,
le pouvoir en place ne se soucie plus du tout de l’AGOA, il le prouve fermement. Il ne se soucie pas non plus de la constitution de ce gouvernement de consensus, ce mot même lui est étranger. Comment d’ailleurs articuler « consensus » quand on lui préfère « je suis »,« moi-je »ou « j’ai dit » !
Andry a choisi de se conformer à lui-même, les seuls militaires ont eu son égard, après les nominations en grades, les primes, bientôt on verra les avantages en nature, qui nous dit qu’une frange des moins scrupuleuses de l’armée ne fasse pas monter les enchères ? On a déja eu des témoignages flagrants...Le spectre de la réelle dictature guette, il faudra choisir son camp, et être du côté de la force armée, brutale, sans limite ou être de l’autre, les mains nues mais les idées claires, ce n’est pas cornélien, c’est juste honnête.
Dans ce cas précis qui se dessine, pourquoi le pouvoir organiserait-il une élection ? Il trouvera toujours une éventuelle cause qui menacerait ce processus, je n’en doute plus. La manoeuvre est cousue de grosse ficelle bien blanche. Ca c’est préoccupant, avoir refusé le consensus pour la mise en place du gouvernement de transition est la première étape, la suivante est de mettre au placard (ou à l’écart physiquement) les porte-drapeaux adverses, la suite logique de tout putchiste serait de s’installer au pouvoir sans élections. On y vient, et on peut compter sur les hâtifs pour trouver une raison « incontournable » pour entériner cette décision déja prise. Le but est de reculer au plus loin la date de ces fameuses élections, plus on est installé, plus on saura quoi faire...Les vrais opposants ont du pain sur la planche, ils ne peuvent compter que sur eux-mêmes, car le mouvement est, pour l’instant, décapité. Mais laisser faire le temps ne joue pas en notre faveur si nous voulons les élections, il faut trouver une parade à cette mainmise qui s’installe, qui a entrepris le hold-up total. Malagasy...ouvre les yeux.
I think it is time for the US government to make a decision. We appreciate your flexibility and your delay before making any decision. Enough is enough, you are right if go forward. Let the world know and see the foolishness of rajoelina. He is the only responsible for whatever will happen as consequences of his stubbornness. As all of us have seen, he is playing with the International Community. He wanted and wants that everybody has to bow in front of him and lick his feet. Now it’s his turn to see and endure the consequeces of his deeds.

– I think you totally missed the point. did you even read the articles where it is stated clearly that they (U.S. government)have) pushed the deadline many times to accommodate the situation here in Madagascar.

I’m 100% in favor of banning any fundings for the current government, it’s not about supporting Americans ideas it’s just a government that I cannot TRUST. I have not paid many taxes for many months now (property tax, Consulting block tax, foreign exchange in black market,...). As much as I want to help paying the salary of the public servants, I don’t want my TAX to be used to pay Sareraka and other 43 members of this so called « HAT ». The problem is that HAT always found some source of funding and « the people » will suffer for them.
– I believe it is in the American’s INTEREST to NOT remove Madagascar from the AGOA eligible country, but it’s just getting too hot and they don’t want to be involved in the (bloody) mess later. I think is taking these issues in a serious manner.
